ADITYA wagon bulge detection system is a highly precise two-dimensional measurement system especially developed for identifying wagon bulge.

A wagon is called bulged if it has a deformed frame with expended width. This expansion in width can be on one side or both sides. Even a wagon with improper gate closing comes under the category of bulged wagon. These wagons can cause a potential damage of the wagon tipplers.

Bulging of wagon causes damage to tippler side plate & hydraulics. It can also cause derailment of wagons which causes massive delay in unloading, resulting into heavy demurrage by railways.

In some cases, the wagons are bulged on only one side. Such wagons can be tippled either on clockwise rotating tippler or anticlockwise rotating tipplers but in order to take this decision you need to know it far earlier that which side of the wagon is bulged. If you have

this information much in advance, you can select proper tippler for tippling of that particular Wagon. If the decision is not taken at the proper time, then you may have to shunt the wagon. A lot of time is wasted in this type of shunting.
